Dél-Dunántúli Regionális Forrásközpont Kht (South-Transdanubian Regional Resource Centre Public Benefit Company), established through Phare co-funding, has set the objective to provide professional assistance to the local governments, government funded institutions and non-governmental organisations providing social services in Baranya, Somogy and Tolna counties in a changed and permanently changing economic, financial and social environment. Another objective of Dél-Dunántúli Regionális Forrásközpont Kht is to, by developing a social policy taking into account the local patterns, contribute to developing well functioning society sensitive towards those in need.
South-Transdanubian Regional Resource Centre deals primarily with the development and improvement of social policy plans and concepts, as well as the articulation and representation of the social policy interests of the region. It provides consulting services, organises expert meetings and training courses, arranges and implements employment programmes and provides alternative labour market services. South-Transdanubian Regional Resource Centre develops and implements special programs targeted to the Roma (gypsies) as well.
Our key activities that are currently running are the following:
We are the Regional Management AnAT of the Ministry of Social, Health and Family Affairs and provide services in Somogy, Tolna, and Baranya counties (eg. social crisis management programmes, development of a so-called village manager network, welfare programmes). In this regard, our tasks include also providing expert assistance and programme co-ordination to local governments that implement subsidised social programmes.
"I have got a job again" programme (implementation of an alternative, partnership based labour market programme of which purpose is to, by individually treating the specific cases and by using a complex set of methodology tools, promote the re-integration of the groups seriously handicapped in the affected areas (establishing relationship with local governments and their respective organisations.)
Complex integration programme for the integration of Roma people: Stop by Stop. Increasing the employment opportunities, as well as improving the living standards and the level of social integration of handicapped groups and particularly the Roma.
Public labour projects (promotion of government and local government activities for the development of underdeveloped areas and for employing as many unemployed as possible).
Development of social concepts (also the social concepts of the Southwest region, Baranya county and Pécs city have been prepared by us).
Organisation of courses and training. We are an accredited training anAT and provide social training for the staff of local governments and civil organisations.
Non-profit information centre: A civil information centre established through Soros-NIOK co-funding. Although the centre dIsU not receive grants any more, it still exists and provides advice in legal matters and application matters to local governments and civil organisations.
